Karim Yengsep Quintet is the house band for the Friday Live Jazz Series at OC Fish Grill in the heart of Irvine, California. With close to 1,000 shows performed over a period of 3 years the band has really become an established "hot spot in the neighborhood" (Irvine Weekly) for jazz lovers and music fans alike. The Quintet features the talents of Tom Cunningham on trumpet and flugerlhorn, Edmund Velasco on tenor and soprano saxophones, Mark Massey on acoustic and electric piano, Jackie Rush on drums, and Karim as bassist, bandleader, composer, and arranger.
